Worried about an unhealthy diet? Here are some points to help you understand what a healthy diet really is.

Use fresh vegetables of various colors to make your plate look colorful and healthy! Each color has its unique nutrition combination. Be mindful of your health condition and before selecting vegetables.

  • The Protein Count

Ensure ¼ of your plate contains proteins. These could be food items such as; fish, chicken, beans. These could even be mixed with salads or other vegetables. Limit the excessive use of oil in preparing these food items.

  • The Oil Use

Make sure to use healthy oil sources such as olive, canola, corn, and sunflower. Avoid or reduce the use of hydrogenated oil which has a health threat.

  • The Use of Water

Consume plenty of water to refresh, re-energize yourself. Avoid or reduce the consumption of drinks with high levels or sugar and fat. Fresh juice, smoothies could help your diet too.

  • Stay Active

Ensure daily exercises, and stay active throughout the day. a routine work-out of 10 minutes daily could help you to maintain a well-balanced healthy life.
