HNB Assurance Launches SuperCI, a Comprehensive Critical Illness Cover.

HNB Assurance PLC (HNBA) announced the launch of SuperCI recently, a revolutionary cover catering to the needs to battle a range of critical illnesses that one could face in life. Developed with the prime focus of providing peace of mind to safeguard individuals’ health, HNBA SuperCI offers many special benefits in the instance of a cancer diagnosis, heart condition and more.

Sharing his thoughts Chief Executive Officer of HNBA and HNB General Insurance Limited (HNBGI), Mr. Prasantha Fernando stated, “Placing great attentiveness towards the challenges that people experience due to the various adversities of health, HNBA SuperCI is introduced to provide the ideal financial comfort to help them recover and head towards a superior lifestyle despite the critical illnesses faced. Further coverage includes Late Stage Cancer Benefit and Major Heart Condition Benefit covering 07 Conditions, where 100% of Sum Assured will be paid inclusive of a Monthly Income Benefit for 05 years following the acceptance of Major Cancer/Heart Condition Claim, as a specialty, also applicable for the range of 32 Critical Illnesses”.

Elaborating further, Mr. Wimalaratne stated, “Special features of SuperCI also includes a 10% increase of the Sum Assured every year for each claim free year without an increase in Premium. Optionally, the Cover enables Return of Premiums at Maturity if no claim is made under the Benefit”.

HNB Assurance Successfully Concludes its First Virtually Facilitated AGM 2020.

The first virtually facilitated Annual General Meeting of HNB Assurance PLC was held recently. The Company effectively addressed all Shareholders during the 18th Annual General Meeting supported by well equipped live streaming facilities. The initiative was coordinated keeping in line with all safety precautions imposed in the country due to the active pandemic situation.

Sharing her views on the Annual General Meeting, Chairperson of HNBA and HNBGI Mrs. Rose Cooray stated, “The Company led the discussion through digitally driven platforms as part of the well-thought measures initiated towards business continuation, and also in adherence to all compulsory safety guidelines. HNBA Branch Operations Return to Normalcy.

HNB Assurance PLC (HNBA) announced that it will be normalizing its branch operations, adhering to government and health regulations.  As such, branches in curfew lifted districts will function as per normal office hours and branches in Colombo and Gampaha districts will function from 10 AM to 3 PM during weekdays.

Sharing his thoughts Managing Director/CEO of HNBA and its fully owned subsidiary HNB General Insurance Limited (HNBGI), Mr. Deepthi Lokuarachchi stated “HNBA Group has taken every initiative to serve its customers during this uncertain turbulence. Whilst safety of our employees and customers remain a top priority at this point, HNBA Group has taken a number of measures to ensure that every branch carries out its operations adhering to safety guidelines stated by the Government. Mr. Lokuarachchi further added, “if this situation has taught us anything that is uncertainty could strike when we least expect it and it could affect us all in an unexpected manner. HNBA and HNBGI Geared to Assist Customers

HNB Assurance PLC (HNBA) and its fully owned subsidiary, HNB General Insurance Limited (HNBGI) announced a number of measures the Group has taken to assist its customers during this uncertain turbulence.

Spokesperson for HNBA Group stated that as curfew has been relaxed in many districts other than Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara and Puttalam, branches of HNBA and HNBGI has commenced operations to serve its customers and the remaining branches would commence operations once the imposed curfew in the aforementioned districts is lifted. The Group has taken many measures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of its customer and employees. In addition to these measures, HNBA and HNBGI has taken several other steps to assist its customers and other stakeholders digitally. As such, queries could be directed through Facebook and the dedicated company websites any time of the day. Both HNBA and HNBGI has introduced dedicated WhatsApp and Viber portals to submit COVID-19 and other claims related documents. Further, the dedicated call centers would function as usual to provide assistance to customers. Whilst reassuring a continuous service delivery, the Management of HNBA and HNBGI urges all citizens to follow all procedures as directed by the Government of Sri Lanka to combat COVID-19.
